"Girl in the Window REDUX is a project I've been mulling over for years. It started as a collection of songs that I wrote in 2008; fresh out of high school and starting music school in a new city.
I've always enjoyed cataloging eras of my life; getting lost in nostalgia and reliving past experiences through my writing of the time. This was an incredibly formative period of my life. I was surrounded by new sights, new sounds, new people. I was lonely, heartsick, self-conscious, naive, yet also inspired, hopeful and strangely confident. This cacophony of emotions fueled fresh creativity and put me on a path.
While I've long since moved on in life, growing and changing as both a musician and a songwriter, this collection has never felt quite complete to me. The songs were there, but the production was barely listenable. I always felt that maybe one day I'd go back and try again. Finally, after fifteen years, I'm revisiting the songwriter I was then as the musician I am now. I'm releasing these songs into the wild and at long last, closing the book on that chapter of my life"
